This flag was adopted on August 31, 1933. The colors of the flag are old glory red, white and old glory blue. The flag was designed in1845. The designer is O. Peter Krag with contributions from Joanna Troutman, Sara Dodson, Charles Bellinger Stewart, Peter Krag and William Wharton. The design has the colors red, white, and blue. The blue stands for loyalty. The white represents strength (purity). The red is for bravery. All outdoor flags are finished with heading and brass grommets (H&G). PH denotes pole hem for indoor and parade use. PHF denotes pole hem and gold fringe.
