This flag was adopted on June 24, 1991. The colors of the flag are red, white, gold and black. The flag was designed in1885. The designer is Johnston Jones. The design has a blue vertical stripe with a white star in the center with the letter N on the left and the letter C on the right of the star. It also has two horizontal stripes. The top stripe is red and the bottom stripe is white. All outdoor flags are finished with heading and brass grommets (H&G). PH denotes pole hem for indoor and parade use. PHF denotes pole hem and gold fringe.
