This flag was adopted on July 16, 1963. The colors of the flag are blue, gold and silver. The flag was designed in1925. The designer is James Lloyd McMaster. The design has a steamboat ascending the Missouri River. The arts are represented by a smith with a hammer and anvil. Agriculture is represented by a settler’s cabin, sheaves of wheat, and stalks of growing corn. In the background is a train of cars heading towards the Rocky Mountains. Around the top of the circle is the state motto- EQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW. The circle is surrounded with the words-Great Seal of the State of Nebraska. All outdoor flags are finished with heading and brass grommets (H&G). PH denotes pole hem for indoor and parade use. PHF denotes pole hem and gold fringe.
