This flag was adopted on May 21, 1985. The colors of the flag are red, white, gold, blue, green and brown. The flag was designed inNovember 6, 1900. The designer is a state commission. The design is a white field with a red X and the state seal. It represents the land of sunshine, flowers, palm trees, rivers and lakes. The seal features a sun, a cabbage palmetto tree, a steamboat sailing and a Native American Seminole woman scattering flowers. All outdoor flags are finished with heading and brass grommets (H&G). PH denotes pole hem for indoor and parade use. PHF denotes pole hem and gold fringe.
