Independence Day

Happy July, flag connoisseurs! It’s Sarah, as usual.

On July 4th, 1776, 56 men in horribly unsanitary white wigs sat in a sweltering room for hours, discussing a document that would change our country completely: The Declaration of Independence. With the signage of this document, America was broken free from the binding chains of Great Britain (although I’m sure they did enjoy tea and scones once in a while). To this day, July 4th is known as Independence Day.

Today, we celebrate this monumental holiday with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, and family reunions. All federal institutions, like courts and post offices, are closed in remembrance of this day. But in preparation, your friends at About Flags urge you to get your flag ready to fly! We have the perfect products to make your holiday red, white, and you!

Your house will not be party-ready until you purchase our classy, elegant bunting and patriotic decor. We offer a wide variety of drapes, flags, and pulldowns; you’re sure to find something you love! Involved in a parade? We carry parade poles and all the accessories and ornaments needed to make your parade pop with patriotism!

As always, we wish you a happy and safe Independence Day. Make sure to take time to thank those Founding Fathers and Mothers who made our freedom possible, and the military and government workers that continue to keep our nation as free as can be. Enjoy your hot dogs, fireworks, and time with family.
